Jesse’s musical journey began at the tender age of 8 when he first picked up a guitar, igniting a lifelong passion. While becoming enthralled with all things guitar, he also discovered other aspects of music including theory, composition and recording (even assembling a modest home studio in his parents’ basement).
In addition to studying music in grade school and with private instructors, teenage Jesse was fortunate to attend many sessions at the Guitar Summer Workshop. This afforded him the opportunity to learn from renowned musicians like Vinnie Moore, Mike Keneally, John Petrucci and audio engineers from Full Sail University.
During his senior year of high school, Jesse was selected for the NH Jazz All-State Band. He was also honored with the Louis Armstrong Jazz Award and received a scholarship at Berklee College of Music.
At Berklee, Jesse further honed his skills under the guidance of many of their esteemed guitar faculty. He also expanded his musical horizons, exploring arranging, songwriting, and music production. His time in the Berklee studios and performing live in the Boston area allowed him to refine his craft, contributing to numerous projects and gaining invaluable experience.
In 2008, Jesse was able to further his teaching and music-production aspirations by completing the construction of his home studio in Milford, NH. For the next 13 years he garnered a local reputation for nurturing the talents of students of all ages and musical interests. He was also invited to lead music workshops for churches, homeschool co-ops, and other music schools.
In addition to recording his own music, Jesse helped to produce and record a diverse range of local musicians ranging from solo pianists to metal bands. In 2021, Jesse and his family relocated to Amherst, NH where he embarked on the construction of a new and improved space for Jesse Andreasen Studios.
With a wealth of knowledge and over 30 years of musical experience, Jesse remains dedicated to sharing his passion for music with others.
