The basis for this set of exercises comes from something I learned from Vinnie Moore years ago (side note- for some killer 80’s shred guitar, check out his album Mind’s Eye). In this lesson we depart from the standard practice of playing a 4 finger pattern on each string, from low to high and then coming back. Instead, this one is more linear, playing a long ascending pattern up a single string. All the slides and shifts can be challenging, so take it slow. But once you get it, it’s a fun one to really get up to a burning pace. Video and Tab below.
